Holy crap! YES! He always fucks with the characters in the sequel. Whenever he gets some philosophical or pseudoscientific concept he just changes the characters however he wants to let him show off his shiny new toy. Personally I consider only Ender's Game as canon. OSC is always better with his one-shots than long series.
